It’s always fun to read a genre you like on the same holiday in which the story is set. That was the case with Kitty Fine’s short sexy read “Losing my Virginity on Independence Day.” Reading this raunchy first-person “quickie” made fireworks take on a whole new meaning.
Like reading Dickens at Christmas, Kitty Fine’s little tale could very well become a new Fourth tradition for erotica fans, particularly those who like the virgin sub-genre. A quick look at Amazon’s listing for the word and it’s readily apparent a lot of readers do.
In Fine’s tale, Young Jess seems a little bothered that, while she’s preparing to go to college, she remains unflowered, still a virgin. Her boyfriend Vince, however, has plans to change that while the two attend a raging Fourth of July bash. For Jess, independence means celebrating both the Fourth of July and the freedom of her own sexual inexperience.
Fine’s simple, straight-to-the-point prose brings modern, youthful sex to forefront in a rush of voyeuristic, carnal scenes. Often, short reads like this can lead readers to want just a little more. Fine, as her lengthy list of works proves, should try her hand at the long form of the craft more often.
Thank you so much for your beautiful and thoughtful review! I do appreciate your taking the time to read and post the review on Amazon. I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
